Losmandy G11
Untill 2007 I used a Vixen GP-DX mount with SkySensor2000. This is a perfect mount for equipment below 10 or 11 kg equipment. To photograph more distant galaxies and smaller nebulae I needed a telecope with more aperture and more focal length, and a better mount with more load capacity. The Losmandy G11 has a maximum load capacity of 27 kg for visual use, for astrophotography between 15 and 18 kg. This picture shows the G11 with my Vixen ED102SS telescope.
The Gemini GoTo system is not really neccesary, but it is a very pleasant system when you search for an object right above your head, in the zenith.
